IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON GETTING A NEW DOG EITHER AS A PUPPY OR FROM A RESCUE CENTRE WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ THE BOOK ' 'DOG AGGRESSION' BY BARBARA SYKES. THIS BOOK NOT ONLY COVERS DOG AGGRESSION BUT ALL ASPECTS OF TRAINING AND BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO WHEN YOU HAVE REHOMED A DOG

Keep the dogs vaccinations up to date

Keep the dogs flea and worming treatments up to date

Be a responsible dog owner and adhere to the laws regarding dogs and the Terms and Conditions of Adoption.

A year after you have had the dog we will contact you to ask for a copy of the dogs vaccination certificate and a photo.

  • Before Dogs are Rehomed

As soon as the dogs arrive with us they go to the vet to get their first vaccination, a vaccination to prevent kennel cough and they are fleaed and wormed. Two weeks later they have their second vaccination, they are also neutered and microchipped soon after that. Once the stitches are out following the operation they ase ready to go to their new homes. (Reserves can be put on during the waitng period).
If for any reason a dog goes to its new home before it is neutered proof will be needed to say that it has been neutered as soon as possible.
  • Prospective owners are asked to ring before they come to look around. We are not only a rescue but a boarding kennels and cattery as well so please do not turn up unannounced because we run to a strict schedule on the boarding side.
When you do come to look around you will be asked to fill in a form to try to match the right dog to you and your family.
  • Once a reserve has been put on a dog a homecheck or vet check will be done, and the new owner must visit the dog at least three times (arranged with the staff) before it goes home.
  • (Arrangements can be made for dogs to meet cats at your own risk!)
  • If for any reason it doesnt work out owners are free to bring the dog back. Dogs must never be given away to other people without notifying ourselves and asking our permission to do so.
  • The price for male dogs is £100, the price for female dogs is £150.00.
