This handsome chap is Archie. He is a beautiful dog with a beautiful personality. Archie is a medium - large, crossbreed, male aged about 2 years old. Archie seems to be good with other dogs and loves people but he is looking for a fairly active home who have had bouncy dogs before. Archie is full of fun and definitely full of beans but in the right home, with the right training it won't take long for Archie to become a well behaved boy. Archie has been moved around so much it's a wonder that he is such a happy dog. In his head Archie still thinks he is a pup! :) He just needs some guidance from a loving owner. H - Semi D - Appears to be fine, wants to play. C - Could be cat tested K - Archie is too big and bouncy for youngsters, children of 12+ only please.

Triple is an SBT aged about 4 years old. He has been with us since April 2005 for a few different reasons. He only has three legs to start with and this means that he can only go on a few short walks a day because he tires easily. He absolutely loves going out though and seeing his friends. He loves to play with other dogs. He does not need any medical treatment for his leg and has no other illnesses or ailments. He would not be suitable for owners with children because he is possesive over his toys and food but is learning quickly now. We cant express how much Triple has improved over the past few months, he has some regular friends (people and doggie), his possesiveness with food is a million times better than it was, he has never showed any aggression to any other dogs even over toys and treats. It seems that his possesiveness may only be with people, this is more than likely because he has been teased or abused as a puppy. He is a fave with all the staff and dog walkers, he is full of character, he loves life despite what he has been through. We have decided after a lot of consideration that the best thing for Triple is to stay here with us. He is so settled now and enjoys his daily walk to the post box and run with some of the boarders, it could undo all his training if he moved now after so long. Please feel free to send Triple any chews or treats though because he has a special 'Triple' only treat box on his kennel! :) He loves Jumbones, rawhide and Wafcol treats! Thank you.

Parker! We all love Parker! He is a small - medium sized dog, short and skinny at the moment. He has a few bald patches where it looks like he may have been lying for a longtime on a hard floor. He is super friendly, good with other dogs and children. He loves walks and cuddles. You couldn't ask for a better dog, if any of the staff had space I'm sure he would have gone home already! Can Parker come and live with you...forever? D - Good C - Met once, ignored. Could test again. H - Semi K - Parker has met children and babies and been good but he can still be a bit nervous so we think he would be better living with older children. 12+

Tia Tia is a very special young lady. When she arrived with us Tia was heavily pregnant. That was back in August and now all her puppies have gone. Typically the puppies have gone and Tia is still left! She is very friendly and loves everyone. She is medium sized and short coated. She is only about 3 years old herself, bless her. She would really benefit froma training class but we're sure she would do well as she is a bit of bright spark. Can you offer Tia a chance?
D - Appears to be fine C - Could be cat tested K - Fine H - Semi

OTTO Hi there, my name is Otto! I might look like a big of a giant but if I am then I must be the real BFG (Big Friendly Giant!) I am an American Bulldog X aged around 3 years old. I am very friendly and I get on with most other dogs. I am too big for young children but would love to live with a family with teenagers or just adults. I really enjoy long walks and learning new things. I need a bit more basic training but I am very eager to learn. I am only here because people are put off by my looks but the staff say I am beautiful in and out. K - Teenagers C - Could be cat tested D - Appears to be good H - Semi Viewing of the rescue dogs is by appointment only because we must fit around our boarding animals. All the dogs are fully vaccinated, chipped, neutered, flead and wormed. Key to Rescue Dogs: If you would like to visit please ring ahead to ensure that someone will be available to show you the dogs because we have a busy schedule to stick to with the boarding animals.
K - Suitability for children C - Suitability to live with cats H - Is the dog housetrained D- Suitability with other dogs

Meet Luke! Luke is looking for a home as the only pet, this is not because he is aggressive but because he still needs one on one training. Luke was rehomed with cats and unfortunately he just could not settle with them and was makign their life pretty miserable! Sadly Luke's owners had to return him out of fear for the cats safety. What we hadn't realised when we rehomed Luke was how much training he needed! He just barked on the lead. Anything would get the full chorus, dogs, cats, birds, horses you name it! It wasn't aggression more like excitement but it did need sorting out and sharpish. We have since taught Luke to walk nicely on a lead and not to bark at anything which is brilliant. He was very clean in the house and he is in his kennel. He was quiet and calm in the house and wasn't destructive at all. We think now Luke is ready to go to a new home again but it must be someone who will keep up with the training because any slips and you might need to buy ear protectors! :) He is a smashing dog though, bright, beautiful and loving. His previous owners were very sad to have to bring him back. Could you be Luke's new owner? D - Good C - Not so good! H - Yes K - Yes, but we recommend a home without young children because he does need the time to continue his training. He is a softie though and would be fine around children we think.
